Concert Lighting
For over fifty years, Woody Bavota has worked globally as a concert lighting designer and director. Having collaborated with legendary musicians and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees, he now brings his elite craftsmanship to the Spire Center for the Performing Arts, where he designs over 200 shows a year.
Film,Television and Internet Production
Between tours, Woody Bavota decided to channel the skills he developed at both Maine Media and the New England School of Photography.
Focused on producing and directing films, television, and internet projects, Woody launched his career with two major music productions.
He served as producer and director on Bill Bruford's Earthworks: Footloose in NYC (2002). He also produced, directed, and edited Gongzilla: Live in Concert and the East Village Studio (2005).
Woody took on multiple creative roles as producer, director, editor, and cinematographer for the 2007 documentary Wisdom of the Eighties, which follows the lives of six Cape Cod women artists in their 80s and 90s, emphasizing their continued creativity and engagement with life.
He has contributed to a range of independent films, videos, television programs, and shorts through supporting technical roles in camera operation on the syndicated television series Inside Edition in 2012, the film Beg in 2011, and the television special Aftermath: The Station Fire Five Years Later in 2008, production coordination for the film, The Ride in 2007 and associate producer for, The Station in 2009.
Writing
Beyond the lighting console, Woody has written articles and conducted interviews with some of these legendary artists for entertainment magazines. Currently, he is writing his memoir, reflecting on a remarkable career.

Woody’s most significant pivot came with his entrance into the world of digital art—an evolution that marks not just a new chapter, but his future made present.
